The trails and bridges in the rainforest were the best part of our stay. We saw many different animals like monkeys, sloths, and toucans. The trails were well-maintained and the hanging bridges were a unique experience. The location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to the main road and secure parking. The buffet breakfast offered typical Costa Rican food with a good variety of options.
The service in the restaurant could have been better. It seemed like there was a lack of staff, especially during low season.

Exceptional staff, beautiful open-air lobby and restaurant, close encounters with wildlife, informative signs and exhibits, free tours.
Didn't dislike anything about the property.

We loved being surrounded by rainforest and enjoyed the wonderful walks and guided tours. The chocolate tour and night tour were especially good. The staff were outstanding and the food in the restaurant was very good. We also enjoyed the convenience of being close to the park entrance.
Felt like royalty, no complaints at all.

I recently stayed at a lodge nestled in the beautiful Sarapiqui region, and I couldn't recommend it more. The spacious room with comfortable beds and a little patio provided a relaxing retreat after exploring the park's well-maintained trails. The staff at the lodge were kind and helpful, pointing out animals and plants during our self-guided walks. The lodge's setting, including the grounds and trails, was absolutely beautiful. I also enjoyed browsing the gift shop and the delicious meals at the on-site restaurant.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Beautiful grounds and jungle trails. The guided night hike was so interesting, and our guide was very accommodating and helpful. The ladies in the kitchen made us extra fluffy fresh scrambled eggs. The property is a wonderful piece of rainforest, with many birds and wildlife. The restaurant serves simple, tasty food. The night tour and chocolate tour were great. Standard room with private bathroom was adequate. I highly recommend this hotel for a nature experience.

For the price we paid, Tirimbina Lodge was definitely worth it. The room was comfortable, especially after we upgraded to a standard room with a cozy bed and a hot shower. The location, right in the middle of the rainforest, was incredible. We loved falling asleep to the soothing sound of rain on the tin roof all night long. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making our stay even more enjoyable. The guides and tours on site were exceptional, allowing us to explore the rainforest and spot monkeys, sloths, toucans, and more. The highlight was definitely the cocoa tour, which was absolutely amazing. And of course, the traditional Costa Rican food was delicious. We would highly recommend Tirimbina Lodge and would happily stay there again.
The only improvement I would suggest is to have better breakfast options. While the dinner experience was quite good, the breakfast buffet wasn't consistently refilled and lacked variety.

We had a great value for our money at the lodge, with clean and inviting rooms surrounded by a tropical rainforest. The location was perfect, with monkeys swinging overhead and wildlife guides like Steven and Carolina who were not only enthusiastic but also extremely knowledgeable. The staff treated us with the utmost friendliness and made our stay memorable.
Breakfast choices could be improved with more variety. A suggestion would be to add some local specialties to the menu for a tastier start to the day.

I recently stayed at a lodge in a breathtaking nature reserve, Tirimbina, for a few nights. The location was exceptional, surrounded by lush rainforest and wildlife. The knowledgeable guides made our night tour unforgettable, spotting sloths, monkeys, and even a porcupine. The 290-foot long suspension bridge provided a unique experience, walking amongst the trees and observing sleeping monkeys and iguanas. The focus on preservation and education was commendable, and the rooms, although basic, were comfortable and offered stunning forest views. The restaurant served delicious, reasonably priced food, complementing our overall enjoyable experience.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
